Conflated artist talk at ANU Gallery (18.10.2022)

(Exhibition, Installation, News, Talk, Video Art)

Eugenia is in Ngunnawal country for an artist talk with fellow Conflated artists Honey Long and Prue Stent, and Steven Rhall, with facilitator Dr Peter Alwast, Head of Painting at the ANU School of Art & Design. Free and all welcome: Wed 19 Oct 2022, 5.30–7.30pm, ANU School of Art & Design Gallery Liversidge Street Acton, ACT 2601.

About Conflated: When we inhale and exhale, our bodies transform through the process of inflation and deflation. Drawing on the inflatable form as both material and metaphor, Conflated brings disparate artists together to explore bodies, environments and cultures through contemporary art. Here, the cycle of breathing serves as a framework through which a wide array of experiences, behaviours and expressions are examined. Featuring: Zoë Bastin, Andy Butler, David Cross, Bronwyn Hack, Amrita Hepi with Honey Long and Prue Stent, Christopher Langton, Eugenia Lim, James Nguyen and Steven Rhall. Eugenia is showing costumes and video from Shelters from Kyneton (triadic transfer), 2022. Conflated is a NETS Victoria touring exhibition, co-curated by Zoë Bastin and Claire Watson. This project has been assisted by the Australian Government’s Visions of Australia program and the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria. Exhibition continues 29 Sep until 04 Nov 2022. netsvictoria.org.au/exhibition/conflated
