I have just returned from the Experimental Television Centre in Owego NY. With the assistance of the centre's Hank Rudolph, I have been tinkering with analogue video technology, including custom-built switchers, colourisers, sequencers and oscillators from the 60s-80s. I feel inspired amongst the ghosts of video artists past: Nam June Paik was one of the makers of the Wobbulator contraption I'm using and was an early participant at the centre. Seeing, making and manipulating video live is what I came here for and thank you Paik and video ghosts, this is what I'm doing.
